Corrective Services NSW

External Program Facilitators

External Program Facilitators deliver a range of accredited and approved programs to offenders in custody and in the community on behalf of Corrective Services NSW (CSNSW). Offenders who pose the greatest risk of reoffending are targeted in a new $237 million plan managed by Corrective Services NSW to reduce reoffending in NSW.

A new expression of interest will open on Thursday 21 September at 2pm for facilitators interested in delivering programs in South Western and Western NSW. Target areas include the Murray region, the Murray Darling Basin, the Central West, Central Tablelands, Riverina, Wentworth and Broken Hill.

To further support facilitators to deliver programs in these regions CSNSW will be providing financial assistance of up to $1,920 for travel and accommodation costs.

If you have already applied via Smarty Grants please do not submit another application.

Corrective Services NSW are looking for people who are able to work independently, with a high level of integrity and are willing to work with mandated offenders. Ideally applicants will have an understanding of evidence based practice underpinning offender services and programs and related administrative processes such as detailed record keeping. CSNSW will provide training (if required) and ongoing assessment and support.

All applications will be assessed by CSNSW Statewide Programs staff. Successful applicants approved to become an external facilitator with CSNSW will be paid for each program they deliver. External facilitators are also reimbursed for time spent in preparing sessions and session debriefing.

Current employees of CSNSW are ineligible to apply via this scheme.

Exisiting employees of GEO will need to seek approval for secondary employment from their Centre Manager (as per the GEO code of conduct, GEO Corporate Policy HR 2.01t, section 4.4.23)
